ANNOUNCEMENT – NORTHS APPOINT WELLBEING MENTOR
Introducing our ‘Wellbeing Mentor’, Paul Jones:
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Jones (aka ‘Rocket’) to the role of Wellbeing Mentor at Norths Rugby. Paul has played over 100 grade games for Norths, co-coached a number of Norths teams, held various roles on the board over the years and is a father of an ex-player at the club. Paul has most recently volunteered in telephone crisis support at Lifeline and currently spends some of his time at Bear Cottage in coaching, fund raising and volunteer support, which overall provides real time assistance for some of the more vulnerable members of our society.
Paul’s business experience includes over 40 years in the financial services sector in senior management and as an advisor. In recent years, Paul has established his on business, ‘Communications Alignment’, which provides a focus on financial literacy for individuals and also group mentoring for advisors and their respective clients.
One referee of Paul’s expertise has stated that “there lies no better mentor for professionals in any industry than to be exposed to Paul in a professional capacity”.
Paul said “I am excited by the opportunity to re-engage with the club and combine my passion for Norths and for volunteering and supporting those in need. I have subscribed to exercise, meditation, yoga and personal health as part of my daily routine and believe that this commitment is a major contribution to positive wellbeing overall.”
North’s Director, Peter Stewart added “the board has been seeking to improve the level of support available to our players, coaches and volunteers and the creation of this voluntary role will see Paul providing advice and assistance, combined with access to a range of professional services. The role is one which will evolve over time and I think it is important not to define it too much because this is an area which is always about the individual and that requires individual processes and strategies”.
Paul will be available for anyone within the North’s community if at any time they feel the for someone to lend an ear.
Paul can be initially contacted via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
