Re: COVID-19 & Community Rugby

To all Northern Suburbs Members, Players, Sponsors & Supporters.

As per the below Media Release from Rugby Australia, some clarity has been provided regarding Community Rugby and the impact of COVID-19.

Following a meeting of Rugby Australia and the State Member Union, the decision has been made to postpone all community rugby including all Rugby matches, Rugby training and face to face education until the first week of May, effective immediately.

We know that you will be disappointed, but now as much as ever, we value your constant support. The safety and health of our players, staff, members and supporters will always be at the forefront of any decision the club makes.

It is appreciated that this decision and direction has been made and we now have a timetable upon which to plan and return to rugby operations.

RA, NSWRU, SRU and all Shute Shield Clubs will now be working to put some definition and a confirmed timetable upon when training will recommence and when the 2020 Shute Shield season kicks off. As this information develops, this will be passed on. As you will appreciate, this news is in the best interests of you, our community and our health.

We would appreciate if you have any questions, please understand we will be providing all updates to be shared via email, the club website and social media.

From everyone at the Club, thank you for your unwavering support and hope to see you back at North Sydney Oval.
