The Run Home – Week 14

The Run Home

5 rounds, 4 games and a bye to play and the competitions are heating up!

1st Grade: Current Position 3rd
Run Home: This week v Warringah (1st),
BYE (5points), Gordon (6th), Uni (4th) Randwick (8th)

Round 14, Match of the Round Live on 7Two is a rematch of the 2017 Grand Final & 2018 Semi Final.
Meeting the 1st placed Rats coming off 9 consecutive wins.
With next weeks 5 point bye, a result this week will all but ensure a 4th straight finals appearance.
The other key match this round to keep an eye on is Manly v Eastwood, a game which has the potential to shake up the overall standings.

2nd Grade: Current Position 6th
Run Home: This week v Warringah (9th)
BYE (5points), Gordon (2nd), Uni (5th) Randwick (3rd)

Back in the top 6 following a win last round, the Top 5 of 2nd grade is all but confirmed and sees a tight battle between Norths (6th / 28 points) and Manly (7th / 27points) for the 6th position.
Again with 5 points coming next week, a result here will keep Norths in the hunt with a close eye on the Manly v Eastwood game.

3rd Grade: Current Position 8th
Run Home: This week v Warringah (3rd)
BYE (5points), Gordon (4th), Uni (1st) Randwick (2nd)

Asked if 3rd Grade will make the finals this season, coach Graham Stokes said:
“I’ll know after Warringah”.
Finding their form in recent weeks, Norths put away other top 6 contenders Manly a fortnight ago, before racking up a cricket score against the two blues.

As 3 teams battle it out for what looks like 1 remaining top 6 spot,
6th place Easts (32 points) have a 5 point bye this week.
7th place Manly (30 points) take on 5th placed Eastwood.

3rd Grade may have found form at the right time in what looms as a decisive battle this week.

4th Grade: Current Position 6th
Run Home: This week v Warringah (2nd)
BYE (5points), Gordon (3rd), Uni (5th) Randwick (4th)

1st Grade aren’t the only ones with a Grand Final axe to grind!
In the top 6 for the first time this season, the 4th grade match is the Grand Final rematch of 2018.
Starting their run to the Grand Final fashionably late, 4th Grade have recorded 7 wins on the bounce ahead of round 14.
With 7th (Manly) and 8th (Easts) hot on their heels, they also sit within striking range of high as 3rd place, in very tightly contested 4th Grade competition.
