Key Match Up - Sydney Uni v Warringah

The top 4 is in striking range for the Rats should they be able to replicate their round 1 victory over Sydney Uni.

Albeit they were not able to get over Randwick who now sit hot on their heels.

With everything to play for, should the Rats lose they could slide as far as 7th.

Meanwhile, the minor premiership is far from sewn up with Rats, Eastwood & Manly still to come for the students.

Gordon v Souths

4 on the trot for Gordon, who've pushed from 10th to 7th and given their finals chances a real boost.

Facing only 1 team above them in the next 4 rounds, they should be banking the points here. Though Souths threatened University last week and will be on the hunt for big scalp before the seasons out.

Randwick v West Harbour

Randwick has played some amazing rugby at times this season, yet their round 9 fixture with Wests wasn't one of them.

A visit from Eddies English to Coogee Oval may spur them on and a win here could parachute them to the top 4.

Wests though will have found some belief having knocked over 1st placed Manly. Could lightning strike twice?

Manly v Hunter

Not many would have seen last week's result coming, this column suggested it would be closer than expected.

Was it a blip on the radar or the beginning of a slide with a tricky run home that includes a derby v Rats, Gordon & Uni.

Two Blues v Eastern Suburbs

Could this be season-defining for both clubs!

Both have a tricky run home and seem to be in a 3 team race for 8th position alongside Hunter.

Easts got it together and shot the lights out in their strong win over Eastwood, while the Two Blues would have fancied themselves to get past Hunter.

Both teams with a bit of work to do.
