The Shoremen Report // Round 13

In a top-of-the-table clash against Manly, a slow start had North's 22 points down shortly before halftime. What happened next was an amazing fightback which will go a long way toward a top 4 finish at the end of the regular season.

What told the tale of the 2nd half was the pure exhaustion of the Manly players as the ball was kicked to touch. As far as a momentum shift, that was a big one! The challenge now, back it up?

With the first of two remaining away games, Norths head to the waterfront Drummoyne Oval.

Despite sitting in 12th with 2 wins, West Harbour are a better outfit than their position suggests, having pushed Warringah all the way to 1 point game. The Pirates have their customary big pack with the likes of Betham & Satuala who are now complemented by the return of Jack Debreczini at Fly-Half & 2014 Super Rugby Champion Alofa Alofa.

Dynamic duo Max Burey & James Turner return from their week away with the Aussie 7's. Burey returning to the number 10 with Turner on the right-wing.

A crowd favourite Gary Bautz will replace Brodie Leber in the back row. Leber suffered a rib injury in the Hunter game & played through the discomfort to score Norths opening try & join Nick Duffy on 9 Tries (equal 4th in the competition).

It is also a big day through the grade as Club Legend Ash Hall celebrates 250 Grade Games, in 4th Grade earlier in the morning.
