The Shoremen Report: Round 8 v Manly

Across the spit for round 8 of the competition and Norths remain unbeaten at the pointy end of the ladder.

The Marlins have had a dismal start to the season which sees them sit at 2 wins 4 losses. Their form at home has seen them lose badly to Gordon in the opening week, struggle to overcome the Two Blues and get done by West Harbour heading into round 8 with 3 losses on the trot.

Despite the injury rate in recent weeks, Norths have had the 'luxury of naming an unchanged lineup for the first game this season.

Harry Cudmore had an outstanding debut on the left wing and Heinrich Brendal was immense in the backrow after playing the past few weeks in 2nd Grade.

A Thursday night quad strain ruled veteran Angus Sinclair out last week and has kept him stranded in the 90's (games) for the moment. Max Burey deputised adequately in the drivers seat and will line up there again this week.

Norths knocked over Manly at Manly Oval in round 3 last year, their first big scalp the season and are primed to continue their winning ways.
