Marcus grew up in Perth coming through the Southern Lions. 50 Cent's Many Men is the pre-game track, a steak sandwich is the post-match reward, and Dan Carter is the player he grew up watching. He found his way to Norths through a couple of connections; Doug Phillipson, Michael McDonald, and Benji Hoppe all played their part.
