Round 13 'The Final Round Preview'

With the final round on the horizon, the strangest Shute Shield season will draw to a close for a number of teams while for others, the competition is just beginning.

Norths head back to Pittwater Rugby Pack as the bonafide away team, with their finals aspirations confirmed. Despite being brought undone against a strong University outfit, 2nd place remains a strong possibility, should they be able to get past a rats team playing on emotion and tired legs.

Back to back grand final runners up, Warringah will farewell 4 of their 2017 Grand Final heroes after a season which failed to reach the heights of their previous campaigns.

The Shoremen have been right at home at Pittwater rugby park this season having recorded 3 wins from 3 outings and with a final round, followed by two weeks of semi-finals at the venue, they are poised to continue this streak.

Dewald Dekker returns to the front row after his minor suspension kept him from last weeks match, replacing Isaac Cavu who shifts to the reserves bench continuing his return from a hamstring injury. Jayden Lynch is promoted into the starting loosehead position and replaces German Heaffeli, the Argentinian who has been tremendous this season earning a minor break before a big finals campaign.

Heinrich Brendel too comes back into the starting back-row at the expense of Charlie Jeavons-Fellows.

The backline remains unchanged and with Max Burey, Nathan Russell, Reece Mau'u, Nick Duffy and James Margan all tied on 6 tries, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top after the regular season.

In's: Jayden Lynch, Dewald Dekker, Heinrich Brendel
Out: German Heaffeli, Issac Cavu, Charlie Jeavons-Fellows
