Norths climb to 2nd with a strong victory
First Half blitz
Heading into the sheds leading 27 - 10 at the break, Norths shook off the recent trend of conceding a try on half-time, Randwick instead opting for a penalty goal.
Despite Randwick opening the scoring against the run of play, Norths were dominant in the first half moving the ball side to side with precision. After two penalties that pegged back the scoring, Norths crossed through Harry Burey, Hugh Sinclair and Brad Hemopo to open a commanding first-half lead.
Inclusions strengthen the lineup.
The inclusion of Norths Waratahs Cam Clark and Hugh Sinclair were a healthy injection to the lineup, both scoring tries in their return from super rugby. Cam who played in the round 7 win over the Two Blues was an omission last week, called back into the 'bubble' while Sinclair was playing his first game of the season.
Sinclair playing in the less familiar role of openside flanker relishing the opportunity to play in the wider channels causing havoc to the Randwick defense and bringing some bruising defense.
Sinclair strong from the tee
Following a winning penalty goal last week, Angus Sinclair was at 100% from the tee. With 5 conversions and 2 penalties before being replaced late in the game, a handy run of form turning 5 points into 7 approaching the final rounds.
